About the firm
Built for the way business is actually done in Qatar.
CFS QTR brings accounting, tax and advisory work under one roof — practical, documented and delivered by people you can reach.
Our story
A consultancy formed around a repeated problem.
CFS QTR was established in Doha to serve a specific gap. Businesses arriving in Qatar, and Qatari businesses growing beyond their original setup, kept encountering the same sequence: bookkeeping that could not support a bank submission, a tax position nobody had documented, and a system chosen before anyone described the process it was meant to run.
Each of those problems was being handled by a different provider — a bookkeeper here, a clearance agent there, an IT vendor with no view of the ledger. The gaps between them were where the cost accumulated.
We built the firm to close those gaps. Eight service lines, one team, and a single view of the client — from company formation and licensing through to monthly reporting, tax filing and lender-ready project analysis.
Our approach
Documented, then delivered.
- A written scope before work begins — deliverables, timeline and fee
- A named lead on every engagement, reachable within the working day
- Positions supported by workings that an auditor or the GTA can follow
- Handover of the process, not just the output, so the result is repeatable
Advisory principle
"Project reports and financials are structured to meet lender benchmarks on their merits — using defensible assumptions. No padded projections."
What we hold to
Four values that decide how we work.
Not a poster in a reception area — these are the tests we apply to our own output before it leaves the firm.
Defensible over convenient
Every number we present can be traced to a source and defended to an auditor, a lender or the GTA. We do not round in the client's favour.
Plain language
Technical work, explained without jargon. If a board cannot act on our advice after reading it once, we have not finished writing it.
Local, not generic
Qatari regulation, Qatari banks, Qatari authorities. Advice is shaped by how things are actually processed in Doha, not by an imported template.
Continuity of contact
You work with the people who did the work. Named contacts, consistent teams, and answers within the same working day.
Why Qatar
A market where structure is the advantage.
Qatar combines a narrow tax base with a demanding compliance and documentation culture. Businesses that get their structure right early move considerably faster.
Corporate income tax reaches only the profit attributable to foreign ownership, at 10%. VAT is not yet enacted. On paper, the burden is light. In practice, the friction is documentary: attestations, licence renewals, contract reporting through Dhareeba, and banks that will not lend without reporting structured the way they expect.
With e-invoicing legislation approved in draft during May 2026 and VAT anticipated in the following period, the direction is clear. The businesses that treat this as readiness work — rather than a future emergency — will absorb it without disruption.

Tell us where the friction is.
A first conversation costs nothing and usually clarifies more than a proposal. Tell us what you are dealing with — a filing deadline, an audit, a funding round — and we will tell you plainly whether we can help.
